Introduction/ This Month's Favourites

Hi! This is my first ever post so please bare with me! My blog is going to be a mixture of fashion posts such as ootd’s and hauls, as well as general lifestyle posts and also beauty reviews and tips.
I thought a good way to get started would be to do a favourite items of the month type thing..however, as it is now halfway through May, this is April and May’s favourites combined. Hope you enjoy!

I will try and keep this post short and sweet as i do have a tendency to ramble on and I don’t want to scare you away! So this is a collection of my favourite items this month which I will proceed to tell you a bit more about later on in the post. A lot of the items featured were presents or things I bought when in America, as both my birthday and family holiday were in April.
The beauty section of my favourite’s this month/last month are shown above.
Simple BB Cream – £8: looooove this as an alternative to foundation as it is so light and gives the skin such a dewy look whilst still hiding blemishes. It is also soso much better for your skin in comparison to foundation.
Rimmel London Lycra Flex Mascara – £5.99: I think this is a really reasonable price, and considering i hadn’t been too fond of the other Rimmel mascaras i have tried, this mascara makes my usually stubby eyelashes pretty long and fluttery! It is also very black which makes them stand out.
Burt’s Bees Coconut and Pear Lip Balm – $3: This is the most amazing and creamy lip balm I have EVER used. And if you’re a avid coconut fan like me, you would love the intense flavour. Unfortunately for most of you Brits, I think it’s only available in America at the moment… mwuhahahha…..
Benefit’s Brown Zings – £24.50: My sister very kindly bought be this for my birthday (I think she was just fed up of me using her’s to be honest!) and i was super super happy. I love this product because it’s really build-able so you can create an eyebrow to suit whatever look you’re going for; whether thats natural or ‘in your face’. It may seem slightly expensive but i’ve already had it over a month and have used barely any. Below is a comparison of my natural brows (top) and when I have used Brow Zings (bottom) but still gone for quite a natural look
Rayban Clubmaster – £135: I’ve always wanted these sunglasses because I think they’re just so timeless and go with everything. I know i’m going to wear these to death, if only the sun would make an appearance…
This is just a little selection of pamper-y (did i just make up a word???) bits I’ve loved recently.
Eucalyptus and Lily Candle – Morrisons – £1.50(!!): Considering how cheap this candle is in comparison to Yankee candles, I think it smells divine. It reminds me of a spa and I find it so relaxing, so if you’ve got exams on at the moment i suggest you rush out and buy this candle to help you un-wind after revising or even during.
Marc Jacobs Honey Perfume 50ml – £42.50: I actually got given this perfume for Christmas, and although I loved it then, I’ve loved it even more recently as it’s beginning to get a bit more summery and the light floweriness of this perfume compliments the (occasional) sunny weather perfectly.
Farmhouse Fresh Agave Nectar Body Oil – $16: My mum picked this up for me and my sister whist in America and i’m soo glad she did. It leaves your skin amazingly soft and the smell slightly reminds me of bubblegum. Apparently Kim Kardashian uses it, which means ithas to be good, doesn’t it?? Apparently you can buy it in England but I am yet to have come across it.
Ted Baker Wash Bag – £29.50: I was given this by my parents for my birthday as I have literally always wanted one but never bought one for some reason! They do a whole range of colours, sizes and shapes (I also have the iPad mini case) which are all equally as beautiful. This size is perfect for carrying all my toiletries when travelling.
A monthly favourites wouldn’t be a monthly favourites without featuring food, right??
Clif Bars – Tesco/Boots: I tried a few of these a while back, but due to the toppy price tag in the UK (£1.60!!!) I had only had a few. However, when i went to America, they sold packs of 6 for just $5, so i stocked up as they’re so tasty! They also had flavours that aren’t available in the UK, such as this one and coconut, black cherry almond, and chai spiced. They’re made from all natural ingredients as well as being vegan, gluten free and high in protein.
Malteaster Bunnies: I can’t get enough of these little things. They’re just unbelievably delicious and are the perfect size for a little treat. Or you could just eat four if you love chocolate like me….. They’re currently reduced to 18p in Morrisons, could it get much better?!
Trident Cinnamon Chewing Gum: Yet another amazing American product, why cant I live there *sigh*. I wish I had brought more than one packet of these delicious sweet little things as i’m now down to my last 3 sticks and I just can’t bring myself to have them.

Striped Long Sleeve Pocket Tee – American Apparel – £30: This is definitely one of my favourite clothing purchases in a long time. It’s so comfy and easy to wear, as well as going with pretty much anything! I’ve pretty much only taken it off to be washed since i bought it a month ago.
Tan Loathers – River Island – £40: These shoes are so versatile and can make almost any outfit look that tiny bit more smart. I love the colour so much and the material is really soft – almost like real leather! However, even though I do have super tiny feet, these come up quite big – I had to put two pairs of insoles in them! So i would recommend buying a size smaller than you usually would.

Thank you for reading my first blog post, I hope you enjoyed it! If you have any suggestions for my next post, please leave a comment on here or on my instagram (@phoebeobrien).
